About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance to lead the strategic direction of these operations, with a primary focus on ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards and, most importantly, prioritizing patient safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of comprehensive safety strategies for pharmaceutical products, providing expert medical guidance in the evaluation of safety data, and representing the organization in interactions with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders. This role also involves driving continuous improvement initiatives in safety processes and mentoring the drug safety team to foster a culture of excellence and collaboration. Applicants must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a strong background in medical sciences, a minimum of 11 years of experience in drug safety and pharmacovigilance, and a proven track record in executive-level leadership. Key responsibilities include the collection, analysis, and reporting of adverse event data, the development of robust risk management plans, and the monitoring of emerging safety issues. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of global regulatory requirements, exceptional communication and leadership skills, and a commitment to ethical practices. Experience with risk management systems and safety monitoring tools is highly preferred, and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment is essential.
