We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team, focusing on commercial and industrial electrical systems. This full-time role requires handling single-man service calls daily and assisting with special projects alongside an apprentice. A company vehicle will be provided for travel and maintenance.
Key duties include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and residential settings. The role involves conducting renovations to improve efficiency and safety, troubleshooting electrical issues with tools like voltmeters and ohmmeters, and accurately interpreting blueprints, including hand-drawn schematics. Collaboration with other tradespeople, such as frame carpenters, is essential for project completion. All work must comply with local electrical codes and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, including an organized company van.
Successful candidates will possess proficiency in various voltage systems, a strong understanding of commercial and residential electrical practices, and experience with industrial electrical tasks. The ability to read blueprints accurately, use power tools safely, and troubleshoot effectively with voltmeters and ohmmeters is crucial. Experience in electrical building renovations is a plus. The position offers a competitive hourly pay of $28.00 - $35.00, with potential for overtime and a yearly bonus. Expected work hours range from 40 to 60 per week, primarily Monday to Friday, with on-call and weekend availability as needed. Required licenses include a TDLR Journeyman License and a Driver's License. A willingness to travel up to 25% is preferred, and the work location is in person.
