Job Description and Duties

Under the general supervision of the Supervising Program Technician (SPT) II, the PT in the Criminal Record Update Section reviews, analyzes, codes, verifies, and updates disposition information into the Automated Criminal History System (ACHS) and related criminal history databases. The PT will be trained and expected to perform all PT work processes and meet the unit averages as required by the Program for each work type. The PT may be required to assist in the development and review of current and/or new program procedures, as well as may be assigned to perform other related duties as necessary.   In addition, the PT may be required to provide support and training to the Mail Intake Unit, as needed.

Working Conditions

This position is designated for telework under Government Code section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California and may require reporting to headquarters or field offices and facilities to fulfill operational needs. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the Department of Justice policies.

This position is eligible for telework, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
