Job Duties

• Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of planning and supervising team practices and games.
• Support team strength/conditioning programs and game scheduling when needed.
• Assist with the team eligibility processes.
• Teach varsity sport and kinesiology classes as assigned.
• During the season, travel with the team to away games and tournaments as required.

Part time position starts August 29th, 2022. Fall practice is twice a week; days increase for Winter and Spring Semesters.

Minimum Qualifications

• Any bachelors degree AND two years coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level OR
• Any Associates degree AND six years coaching experience at the collegiate level or the equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of softball coaching, including skill, technique, mechanics development, and progression to improve athletes performance, including physical and mental wellbeing. Understanding of game management and NCAA current rules. Coaching experience at a competitive level. A combination of collegiate, high school, or Travel Ball experience is considered along with education level.

Pay Philosophy: Starting salary for Part Time Faculty is based on educational achievement and relevant prior experience up to Step 4. Advancements occur after completing multiples of 30 LHE. The salary schedule is available through the colleges resources for part-time faculty.
