The Cicala service team is searching for a polished Sommelier to work the floor nightly who has a passion for Italian wines and classic upscale service.
As Sommelier you will:
-Work the floor as a Sommelier assisting guests in choosing wines
-Perform traditional wine service of opening, tasting, and decanting selections
-Assist guests in by the glass options to pair with each course
-Maintain and keep organized a cellar of 300 labels which is focused on southern Italian varietals
-Assisting guests in choosing dessert wines, digestivi and amari to end thier meal
This is an intermediate level sales/service position which pays an hourly rate plus points from the tip pool
This position works side-by-side with the Beverage Director and General Manager in all matters of the beverage program, assisting in cellar upkeep, wine list tastings/changes/edits, and service. First or second tier of the Court of Master Sommeliers is a plus
