Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU night shift position requiring ICU and stroke experience as well as a MO or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a Neuro ICU in a hospital setting
• Primary patient population includes neurological cases requiring intensive care
• Patient ratio is 1:2
• Night shift position (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
• Requires working every other weekend and 50% of holidays during the contract
• Floating required to other ICU units and Med Surg, including assignments as Patient Observer (Sitter)
• Cerner charting system is used; prior experience preferred
• Must provide care for high acuity neuro patients, including stroke cases
• Expected to float according to facility guidelines, which may include other ICUs and Med Surg units
• First time travelers welcome if all requirements are met
• Must be willing to work as a Patient Observer (Sitter) if needed
• Candidates residing within 75 miles are considered local and may be subject to a lower pay rate
• Return travelers are eligible without re-orientation if returning within 18 months, with a 9-month gap between assignments

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience and at least 1 year in Neuro ICU or ICU specialty
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong neuro checklist and stroke care experience required
• CPI certification preferred
