Job Description

DirectShifts is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Addiction Medicine Physician to join our team in providing high-quality care to patients struggling with substance use disorders in various locations in the state of Arizona.

Job Description:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with substance use disorders, including alcohol, opioid, and other drug dependencies
• Provide comprehensive addiction treatment, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT), detoxification, and behavioral therapies
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress
• Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations
• Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring safe and effective use
• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services
• Educate patients and their families about addiction, treatment options, and recovery resources
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in addiction medicine through ongoing professional development

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Medicine or a related specialty
• Valid medical license in Arizona State
• Experience in addiction treatment and recovery services
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Passion for helping individuals overcome addiction and achieve lasting recovery
